Ups and downs – mapping card fraud in Europe

When bank robber, Willie Sutton, was asked why he robbed banks he reportedly replied “Because that’s where the money is!” As a new report from FICO [1] reveals that UK card fraud rose a staggering 18% in 2015, the sharpest rise across the whole of Europe, it seems that card fraud in Europe follows that same rule. We just call it ‘fraud migration’, says Martin Warwick. Criminals tend to follow the path of least resistance as the 2015 European fraud map illustrates.
