Construction Industry Law Letter
CONSTRUCTION, LAW AND THE ENVIRONMENT edited by John Uff, Helen Garthwaite and John Barber - Wiley Chancery 1994, £35
Robert Fenwick Elliott
This book arose out of the Sixth Annual Conference of the Centre of Construction Law and Management, and contains 14 chapters
by various authors on this topic. Some of these concentrate on legal issues, and others on technical issues. As such, it is
hardly surprising that the book is not an easy or consistent read. That criticism should not, however, put off those who have
to advise on this topic. The costs and risks associated with environmental law are very substantial indeed, and this book
represents a welcome and unique concentration of expertise in this area.
