AIG NAMES LEWIS AS CHIEF DIGITAL OFFICER

Global insurer AIG has named Michael Lewis as chief digital officer to oversee the design and delivery of enterprise-wide digital capabilities and solutions to improve business performance. He will report to AIG executive vice-president and chief information officer Philip Fasano and succeed Rahul Samant, who left AIG late last year to become chief information officer at Delta Air Lines. Lewis joins from JPMorgan Chase, where he most recently served as global chief technology officer for digital at its consumer businesses. “We believe improved digital capabilities will create a global competitive advantage,” said Fasano. “Michael’s proven track record of success in developing and executing visionary digital transformation strategies will provide a strong foundation for the overall digital landscape we are working toward at AIG.”
