FASB to mandate disclosure of government assistance
The FASB has exposed a draft requirement that would oblige
companies receiving any form of government assistance to disclose this. The
proposal does not prescribe any recognition and measurement rules, but does say
that the entity must explain how it has accounted for the assistance.
