GREAT AMERICAN ESTABLISHES SPECIALTY BUSINESS IN MEXICO

US property & casualty and annuities group Great American Insurance is establishing a specialty property & casualty operation in Mexico through its locally based motor insurance operation El Aguila Compañía de Seguros. The Mexican Insurance Commission approved the move with the expansion of El Aguila’s operating license. Ohio-based Great American has named Ydhelio Espinosa as divisional president of the new operation, which will focus on providing specialty risk solutions for small and medium-size businesses and corporate risks commencing July 1.
