BEAZLEY LAUNCHES CYBER COVER IN CANADA

Lloyd’s insurer Beazley has launched Beazley Breach Response, its flagship cyber insurance product, in Canada. The launch of the product coincides with the introduction of the country’s Digital Privacy Act, which imposes more stringent reporting obligations, similar to those already in place in the US and soon to be implemented in the European Union. Companies that purchase the cover will receive access to a suite breach response services offered through Beazley’s partner companies. Beazley said it has handled more than 3,300 data breaches since the launch of its Breach Response product in 2009.
