DUTCH ACQUISITION BOOSTS CHESNARA PROFITS
Chesnara plc, the UK-based consolidator of life insurance companies, has seen its profits double after making acquisitions
in 2015. The company, which has previously acquired Direct Line Life and Save and Prosper, acquired Dutch insurer The Waard
Group for £50m in May last year. Yesterday Chesnara posted pre-tax profit of £42.8m for 2015, up from £28.8m in 2014. The
result reflected a profit contribution of £16.6m in relation to the acquisition of the Waard Group. The company said that
opportunities in the UK and Netherlands continue to be sought and examined.
