Gard guide

Gard has luanched Guidance on Freight Containers, the latest in a series of Gard Guidance books. The publication provides comprehensive information on handling containers both in terms of operations, geographical differences, regulations relating to transportation, design and maintenance of containers, and insurance. The book is divided into themed chapters and contains anecdotal personal experiences and advice. It looks at the suitability and quality of the containers themselves, as well as providing insight and guidance on systems to ensure they are properly handled, stowed and secured on board – all the essential elements to achieving safe and efficient transportation of goods at sea.
