Licensed premises – tied houses – Pubs Code and the Adjudicator – consultation

As originally enacted the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 did not apply to ‘a tenancy of premises licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquor for consumption on the premises’, subject to numerous exceptions. That changed as of 1 January 1990 since when the Act applied to premises with an on-licence.
