Commercial Leases
Lease renewal – joint tenants – requirement for both to apply – one refusing – ‘just and faithful’
Kyaw v Claassen (Unreported) (Chancery Division) (Arnold J) (19 October 2015)
As originally enacted the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 did not apply to ‘a tenancy of premises licensed for the sale of intoxicating
liquor for consumption on the premises’, subject to numerous exceptions. That changed as of 1 January 1990 since when the
Act applied to premises with an on-licence.
