BROWN & BROWN TO ACQUIRE MBA INSURANCE AGENCY OF ARIZONA

US broking group Brown & Brown has agreed to acquire the assets of MBA Insurance Agency of Arizona, a firm that generates around $5.5m in annual revenues by providing rental insurance for the recreational vehicle and power-sport vehicle markets across the US. Terms of the deal, which is scheduled to close December 1, were not disclosed. MBA is to become part of Brown & Brown of Kentucky’s National RV Centre, which is based in Columbia, Kentucky and has satellite offices in Tampa, Florida, Simi Valley, California and Albany, New York. MBA will continue to operate out of its offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and will report to Mike Neal, the Brown & Brown of Kentucky executive vice-president who heads the National RV Centre. “This transaction allows us to broaden and strengthen the National RV Centre’s operations by rounding out our insurance solutions for RV and power-sport dealers and owners,” said Neal.
