GALLAGHER ACQUIRES BROKER REID MANSON IN NEW ZEALAND

US broking group Arthur J Gallagher & Co has acquired Reid Manson Ltd, a New Zealand-based retail broker that provides commercial and personal lines products and services to middle-market companies and individuals across South and Mid-Canterbury. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Reid Manson specialises in tailored programmes for commercial, motor, home and contents insurance cover. The company will continue to operate from its current locations in Timaru and Ashburton and will report to Carl O’Shea, chief executive of Gallagher’s Crombie Lockwood (NZ) unit. “Reid Manson is a perfect example of a successful, client-focused team with a culture that will fit well within our Crombie Lockwood operation,” said Gallagher president and chief executive J Patrick Gallagher. “Their strong client relationships are a tribute to their high level of quality service, and their depth of experience and specific geographic locations will further complement our solid New Zealand presence.”
