Whistleblowers’ champions required at firms by next March

New rules on whistleblowing, published by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority, oblige certain firms to have mechanisms for employees to raise concerns internally and to appoint a senior person to take responsibility for running this effectively. The changes reflect recommendations made by the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards in 2013.
