ASTA LOOKS TO BUILD FURTHER MGAS WITH NEW HIRE

Asta Underwriting Management (AUM) has appointed John Holm as executive of managing general agent (MGA) investments. The appointment to AUM, the recently launched Asta Capital MGA, is part of Asta's wider strategy to build MGAs through joint ventures and strategic partnerships. Holm, who has more than 30 years’ experience in insurance and financial services, joins AUM from Capita Commercial Insurance Services. Holm's previous roles have included director of corporate banking at Clydesdale Bank, in addition to senior positions at National Australia Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland.
