PRöBSTL TO LEAD MUNICH RE’S NEW CAPITAL MARKET TEAM

Munich Re has announced that its new Capital Partners division will be headed by August Pröbstl, who previously ran the reinsurer’s corporate insurance business. The team will arrange alternative risk transfer transactions for clients, including catastrophe bonds, and look after Munich Re’s insurance linked securities investment portfolio. The team will also expand its remit to include capital relief transactions.
