AIG NAMES DACHILLE AS CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

AIG has named Douglas Dachille as executive vice-president and chief investment officer, succeeding William Dooley, who is retiring. Dachille is chief executive of investment management firm First Principles Capital Management. In hiring Dachille, AIG is also acquiring First Principles in a deal that is expected to close by the end of the quarter. Dachille will report to AIG president and chief executive Peter Hancock and will join the New York-based group’s operating committee.
