More than three months on and the headlines concerning the APMoller vessel, Hoegh Osaka, are all but a distant memory. Hoegh Osaka saw in the New Year as one of the first major incidents of 2015 as a casualty within UK coastal waters. Considering the time that has passed, it is worth contemplating the effectiveness of the UK’s response as well the lessons that can be learnt.
