PROTECTOR HOLDINGS ACQUIRES BROKER OASIS SOUTH

California-based broking joint venture Protector Holdings has expanded services targeting the Hispanic community by acquiring Oasis South Insurance Services, a locally based broker with eight offices in the south of the state. Terms of the deal were disclosed. Oasis South, which offers Hispanic customers motor, homeowners’ and renters’ insurance in San Diego County, will be merged into Protectors’ Premier Insurance Services unit, acquired in 2013. “With the addition of Oasis South to our Premier Insurance Services brand portfolio, we now have more than 30 Premier locations across California and the west”, said Protector chief executive Paul Areida. Founded in June 2013, Protector Holdings is a joint venture of broker Edgewood Partners Insurance Centre, private-equity firm Dowling Capital Partners and Premier Insurance Services.
