With the recent legalisation of marijuana in Colorado andWashington in 2012, and in Oregon and the District of Columbia effective 2015, there has been a marked increase in the number of US trademark applications filed claiming goods or services associated with the provision, purchase, use, consumption or cultivation of marijuana.
