Insurance Act 2015 – a new beginning or business as usual?

The Insurance Act 2015 received royal assent on 12 February 2015, having been sped through the Houses of Parliament under a special procedure for non-controversial Law Commission Bills.

Following submission of the Law Commission Bill to Parliament in July 2014, several days of witness evidence to the Special Committee of the House of Lords in December 2014 resulted in a final version of the Bill, published on 16 January 2015.
