Saudi prince required to sign

Apex Global Management Ltd and another v FI Call Ltd and Others (No 2) [2014] EWHC 779 (Ch) SC TLR, 8 December

The standard form of disclosure by a party to litigation requires that the party disclosing the document should sign it personally. When a party who was a member of the Saudi royal family refused, on the ground of Saudi protocol, to personally sign a statement of truth as required by the order of the case management judge, the decision to enter judgment in default was unassailable.
