PARTNERRE TARGETS WHOLESALE GROWTH WITH ILOTT APPOINTMENT

PartnerRe has appointed Elizabeth Ilott as underwriting manager of its specialist wholesale division. Ilott has joined the Bermudian firm from AIG, where she most recently served as head of professional liability and cyber for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ilott first joined PartnerRe’s professional indemnity team in 2001, later becoming chief operating officer for financial lines. PartnerRe established its wholesale division last year to meet the commercial insurance needs of small and medium sized enterprises. Marc van der Veer, general manager of PartnerRe Wholesale, said the appointment was part of a strategy to grow its network of distribution partners by the end of next year.
