JOHN COLDMAN TO JOIN AJ GALLAGHER BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Expansive broking group Arthur J Gallagher has appointed former Benfield Group chairman, John Coldman, to serve on the company’s board of directors. Coldman has 45 years of insurance brokerage, management and financial services experience. In 1988, he became managing director of the Benfield Group and, in 1996, he was appointed chairman. He has previously served as chairman of Brit Insurance and Omega Insurance and was deputy chairman and a member of Council of Lloyd’s of London. "[Coldman’s] extensive international insurance industry knowledge and specifically his experience within the Lloyd's and the London marketplace will add a valuable perspective to our board," J Patrick Gallagher, chairman, president and chief executive of Arthur J Gallagher, said.
