Culture shift needed to benefit fully from new catastrophe modelling technologies

According to the report issued by the Association of British Insurers (ABI) on non-modelled risks in April this year, the
considerable level of uncertainty implicit in the output of catastrophe risks models falls outside the scope of non-modelled
risks. For the ABI, this uncertainty is a question of validating the accuracy of the model’s output.
