Competition Law Insight
Interview with Nigel Parr
Ashurst’s London head of EU and competition law talks to CLI

Why did you become a competition lawyer?
It’s a good question. I knew two things when I graduated. I didn’t want to be a solicitor and I didn’t want to work in London.
I pursued a slightly tortuous path. I started out studying geography and economics. I enjoyed the economics but didn’t like
the geography. I then began reading about law and in particular legal philosophy, became very interested in it and switched
to law.
