2012 marine investigations down

The UK’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch has reported 30 investigation reports were published in 2012 compared with 29 in 2011. 26 investigations were commenced during the year compared with 43 in 2011. It said the decrease in the number of investigations launched during 2012 reflected a more considered approach to deployments in the field which has been developed to closely manage the Branch workload.
