NEW SWEDISH OFFICE FOR AGCS

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has strengthened its network in the Nordic region with the opening of a new branch in Sweden. The company said that it had opened a local branch office to reflect increased demand. AGCS has had a dedicated key account manager based in Stockholm since 2009. AGCS said that the new branch would focus on serving companies with a turnover in excess of €70m ($95m), typically those with multinational operations extending beyond the country. AGCS's Swedish presence will focus initially on a core team of eight underwriters and staff. There will be additional hiring of local staff in 2014.
