£170,000 settlement for mesothelioma victim

A labourer who died after he developed mesothelioma has received a settlement of £170,000. He worked with asbestos every day for two years in the 1970s. He had been contracted to work on site at an oil refinery, to assist laggers by carrying and helping prepare the asbestos-filled lagging that they would then apply to pipe work as insulation.
