Over £300,000 in compensation for mesothelioma

A former carpenter for the Greater London Council has recovered over £300,000 in compensation after developing mesothelioma. He worked in the late 1960’s building new flats in Islington when he had to install asbestos sheets in heating cupboards. His lawyer initially obtained a successful judgment on liability and a preliminary payment of £50,000 to assist with his finances whilst the case was resolved. He then went on to recover over £300,000 in compensation, specifically intended to help with payment of some of his medical expenses.
