£187,500 for widow of mesothelioma victim

A man has won compensation of £187,500 after his wife died of mesothelioma caused by exposure to asbestos. He had worked as an electrician, repairing and stripping out storage heaters, and she had come into contact with asbestos dust when she washed his overalls, which were often covered with asbestos. The couple managed to secure an interim payment of £50,000 before she died.
