PCI counsel puts case for state regulation
Peter Birks, Bermuda
Although uniform regulatory regimes with consistent rules, and as few regulators as possible, might work for insurers and
reinsurers with a global reach, for many small to medium-sized insurers in the US, the state regulatory system is preferable,
according to Randi Cegelnik, general counsel, Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), speaking at the
Insurance Day Summit Bermuda.
