Hospice receives £7,000 from mesothelioma claim

A hospice that nursed a terminally ill engineer during his last days has received compensation for the cost of his care. He later qualified as an engineering surveyor and was exposed to asbestos while inspecting boilers. The claim was settled out of court against the employers insurance company for an undisclosed sum and in addition also recovered compensation for the hospice.
