Study into hospital mistakes after surgery

Patients recovering from surgery can expect to experience four or five mistakes in the care they receive from the doctors and nurses looking after them according to a study carried out by researchers from Imperial College London in a large gastro-intestinal surgical department at a UK hospital over a two year period. Most patients were receiving treatment for intestinal cancers when these mistakes occurred.
