OTTO TO OFFER CAR INSURANCE IN GERMANY

Germany-based mail order group Otto is to begin selling motor cover, reports Suddeutsche Zeitung . A spokesperson for the company said that policies for mail order customers would be “competitive” and that the service was likely to be introduced before December. Otto subsidiary Hanseatic Versicherungsdienst is thought likely to partner Otto in the offering. Netherlands-based retailer C&A began selling motor cover in its German stores on September 21.
