New research: Job strain as a risk factor for heart disease

Researchers from University College London have examined the issue of workplace stress and heart disease. In a paper entitled “Job strain as a risk factor for coronary heart disease: a collaborative meta-analysis of individual participant data,”$ published in The Lancet, the researchers said that published work assessing psychosocial stress (job strain) as a risk factor for coronary heart disease is inconsistent and subject to publication bias and reverse causation bias.
