£28,000 damages for knee injury

A man who was injured during a football match has received £28,000 in compensation. He was playing a football on a wooden pitch at a leisure centre when he fell and caught his knee on a trap door area. The latch of the trap door was missing leaving an exposed jagged piece of metal. As a result he sustained a serious injury to his knee which required surgery to close the wound.
