BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY PUTS UP TO $100M INTO TORUS

Bermudian specialty insurer Torus has received am $80m to $100m capital injection from Nebraska-based holding company Berkshire Hathaway as Clive Tobin continues his strategy to turn Torus into a global specialty insurer. Berkshire's funding came alongside additional injections from early Torus backers First Reserve and Corsair Capital. Torus CEO Clive Tobin said that "this is part of an expanding relationship with one of the most respected companies in our industry".
