Non PPI general complaints fall nearly 10% in first half

Payment protection insurance (PPI) dominated the list of customer complaints compiled by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the first half, but complaints relating to other general insurance matters have fallen substantially from last year’s first-half peak, although the numbers are still nearly double 2009’s level, writes Richard Banks.
