BEAZLEY ABANDONS CAT SYNDICATE PLAN
Lloyd’s insurer Beazley has abandoned its plan to form a
catrastrophe syndicate, owing to “the inability to reach agreement with
investors on a structure that would satisfy the Beazley Group objectives”. The
new syndicate — to be numbered 3623 —
was unusual in that it planned to offer £44m in capacity to Names, on a
limited tenancy basis.
