Reminder on crew hours

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) is advising shipping companies to comply with the Manila amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 2010), particularly in relation to seafarers’ rest hours and the more stringent requirements for preventing drug and alcohol abuse, applying worldwide from 1 January 2012.
