ICA demands reform in land use planning as insured catastrophe bill doubles in 2011 to A$4.3bn

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has called on the government to improve land use planning and building codes, with the country’s insured catastrophe bill for the year on track to come in at A$4.3bn ($4.35bn), double last year’s total.
