£50,000 in damages for hit and run victim

A hit and run victim, who suffered multiple fractures when she was struck while crossing a road, has received £50,000 in damages in an out of court settlement. She had nearly crossed the road when a car struck her from the right hand side. The driver of the car had crossed lanes into the path of oncoming traffic when he hit her, before speeding off.
