Earthquake: Thousands flee to shelter following magnitude 5.8 quake
GUATEMALA: Government officials have reported more than 3,000 people have been forced into shelters as a result of damage
caused by a magnitude 5.8 earthquake on September 19. The World Food Programme (WFP) has stepped in to help with the immediate
needs of the population in the Santa Rosa region, in co-ordination with the National Co-ordination Agency for Disaster Reduction
of Guatemala. More than 1,500 people have now received food rations.
