Flooding: Households displaced in flood prone areas

ETHIOPIA: Around 650 households have been displaced in the flood-prone areas of Amhara and Gambela in Ethiopia, according to UN agencies. Deaths resulting from flooding have been reported in Kalu (South Wollo) and Antsokia (North Shewa). The impact will potentially be severe as pastoralists and their animals are already concentrated around river banks because of the drought.
