MORE LIBERALIZATION FROM CHINESE REGULATOR ON INVESTMENTS?
The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) looks set to permit mainland insurers to widen their range of investments
overseas, reports
Shanghai Securities News, an official publication. The CIRC is considering allowing insurers to invest in Hong Kong-listed derivatives, as well as
in stocks, bonds and funds. The CIRC is also thinking of permitting insurers to raise the percentage of their funds invested
in domestic unsecured bonds to above the current limit of 20%.
