Holweger in L&G role

MARK HOLWEGER, the founder of international online general insurance intermediary Coverwise, has been appointed to the newly created role of broker and intermediary director at Legal & General. In the new role, Holweger – whose career also encompasses senior sales roles at Aviva, Axa and RSA – will head a regional sales and marketing team of 33, which underpins its broker and intermediary partner-sourced portfolio, accounting for around 80% of its general insurance new business.
