Court ruling leads to huge rise in PPI redress payments

PAYMENT protection insurance (PPI) redress payments shot up in June on the back of the High Court’s decision to reject the legal challenge to the Financial Service Authority’s (FSA) PPI complaints-handling measures – but the UK regulator said it may not be indicative of an increasing trend during the coming months.
