Flow of capacity into Middle East led Arig to look abroad for opportunities

ARAB INSURANCE GROUP (Arig) posted net profit of $20.8m last year, down a little from the previous year’s figure of $21.9m, from net premiums of $179.4m, a fall of 18.8%. Arig trimmed its reinsurance account by 14.3% during the year as the company terminated some large, underperforming medical accounts.
