HAZARD RESPONSE CONSORTIUM FORMED BY MID-ATLANTIC STATES

An All Hazards Consortium has been formed by Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Maryland governor Robert Ehrlich said that the consortium was “focused on the common goal of getting better prepared for natural disasters and terrorism”. It emerged from last year’s All Hazards Forum, which reconvened this week in Baltimore. The forum looked at what could be learned from hurricane Katrina.
