One-way fee shifting

‘One-way fee shifting will allow just about every crook – claimants or solicitors – to have a go on the basis there is no risk … Take for example someone suing the police alleging mistreatment and making a Part 36 offer to settle the case for £1500. What are the police going to say when faced with the advice by somebody like me saying “I can get rid of this case for £3,000, by paying £1,500 plus other costs to date or I will win it for you and it will cost you £20,000”?’
